As a professional instructional designer, Lauren Lee strongly believes in education through fun. She was disappointed in how few fun, yet educational and accurate, books there are out there for new reptile owners. Bearded dragons make fantastic pets, and through writing B Is for BEARDIE!, Lauren wants to give both new and prospective beardie owners the confidence and knowledge to provide top notch care for these amazing reptiles.

Lauren lives with her two girls in Northern Colorado. They own several dogs and several reptiles, and they have the bad intention of adding more reptiles soon! Their first reptile was their bearded dragon Little Man, who inspired this book. In her free time, if she is not hanging out with her kids and pets, Lauren enjoys long distance running.
